Digital Painting, Paul Klee and LA Filmmakers

Today’s DT.  Tried doing digital painting of an Italian street scene from Montefalco using an iPad app called “Brushes”. Shown is the result – took about 35 minutes. Fairly happy with using the app which I haven’t used for 4 years. Some serious issues with edges, distant hills not so hot, etc, but interesting kick at the tires.

This app captures your work and you can always later see an replay of how you did the painting . So I shot a video of the app doing the replay and I uploaded that to YouTube.

Klee_Abstraction_Flowering TreeToday’s Artist: Paul Klee –

I find Klee’s work fertile and exciting – just brimming with imagination. A Klee quote:
“Color has got me. I no longer need to chase after it. It has got me for ever. I know it. That is the meaning of this happy hour.”

There are good sets of organized images at these 2 sites .
